- In 2008, students in the Grandview City School District taking the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment -Literacy (KRA-L) test had the highest average score (22.9) of all Franklin County School districts.
- Whitehall City School District had the highest percentage (38.4%) of KRA-L test takers scoring 13 or less and classified in the Band 1 category in fall 2008.
- Columbus City Schools had the greatest number of students who took the KRA-L test (4,067) in fall 2008 with the second highest percentage of students scoring in the lowest band of scores (36.5%).
