The following are key points from the data in the tables and graphs found on the “Data” tab. The “Sources and Notes” tab provides additional information about the data.
- In the 2008-09 school year, the largest numbers of Franklin County students (72,749) were in school districts with a Continuous Improvement rating. This comprised 44.4% of the county’s students.
- One of the 16 Franklin County school districts (Whitehall) moved down in their performance results between the 2007-08 and 2008-09 school years, while five (Grandview, Worthington, Canal Winchester, Hamilton, and Groveport) improved their ratings. Columbus City School District maintained its Continuous Improvement rating.
- There was one Franklin County school districts (Whitehall) rated in Academic Watch, and no districts Academic Emergency in the 2008-09 school year.
